Awake But Yet Sleeping
I lye away in my bed looking at the ceiling.
Not worried, just dreaming.
I dream of love, happiness, friendship.
I see only dark but when I close my eyes I see it all.
The people, the place far away.
I touch things I can’t reach.
The moon. The stars
I see her face smiling
Her skin full of color
Her hair like it was before
Before she left
Went with Him to live.
Now she is safe but I miss her.
We all do
I show it the most
Shes gone but I still see her
in my dreams.
