Me, Your Wife
We disappear into the sunset,
Not knowing where we’ll go.
Hoping for a new life,
Ignoring the cry of the crow.
Though weather fierce
And emotions hot,
We maintain our sanity.
We tighten the knot.
Years pass,
Without our haven.
We feel our distance,
Our sanity being shaven.
We resort to measures,
Unthinkable to the human mind.
Is no one around,
Or am I just blind?
Web of lies we have made.
Yet, we are butterflies.
We trap ourselves in insanity.
We settle things with words and knives.
So many promises,
Never having life.
It is I you killed,
Me, your wife.
