I am a Child of God.
I am a child of God.
I see the world around me,
And wonder at it’s beauty.
I sense the Son upon my face,
To tell of God’s amazing Grace.
I fear the loss of those I love.
I wonder where my life will end,
I dream of growing up to be,
The person God is making me.
I am hopeful, wishful, thoughtful.
I laugh at the ironies of life.
I try to understand God’s love for me.
I can’t fathom why He’d care to be
My Savior, Father, Brother, Friend.
I won’t back down in the face of evil,
For God protects me from the Devil.
I cry for those lost in sin,
Never to be redeemed again.
I am a girl, plain and simple.
I want to help those that no one else will.
I need to step up, to lend my hand.
I understand that I cannot change the world.
I say that God can.
I hope that His love will be
Reflected forever in me.
I am who I am, and that’s all I need to be.
