Love Lost
The birds flew,
The skies were blue,
My dark brown eyes were looking up at you.
As the skies turned from blue to gray,
I knelt down and started to say,
"come home to me,
for I cannot see what I used to be.
You used to captivate me,
by your resignating light,
even when we used to fight.
your presence still lingers here,
and it won't leave me alone,
for my light has already shone.
when you left,
you took my soul,
and now I am not whole.
would the days ever go back to
the way they used to be?
When it was just you and me!"
