Pounds
The mirror never lies.
It does its best
and just replies.
"It isn't baby fat,
it is a problem, and
you must lose all that."
We have our debates,
our disagreements
about his honest rates.
What I think is okay,
but what he feels I
must starve away.
"They need to be more visible,
the gorgeous ribs that those
pounds make invisible."
And so all you see
is what the mirror shows,
whether or not you agree.
Oh, how the mirror
never lies.
