Blind
Driving home from the rain. Being blind.
Getting stuck in traffic. Blind.
Listening to cars honk.
Sound of my brother crying.
Being blind is like being asleep.
No one knows if you're awake of if you're asleep.
Until you get thrown like a doll in your own car.
Feeling blood on you body as if it were sweat.
Not moving. Just yelling.
Feeling glass all around you.
Until someone grabs you.
Pulling you out into the blinding light.
That burns your eyes.
Seeing everyone rush towards you.
Feeling dizzy. Wanting to close your eyes.
But it's all so beautiful.
