To Bloom
Part 1.
The once radiant playground,
Glowing happily with watercolor sunsets,
Is now
Sleeping.
Snow
Tumbles soundlessly to
The ground,
Lacing frozen earth
With frosted
Perfection.
Part 2.
The jungle
Carries many secrets,
Has a head full of
Dreadlocks,
Held together
By golden
Barrettes.
The jungle
Thrives with life.
Spills and gushes abstract
Colors bursting vividly
On pavement
Like chalk art
Gone wild.
Part 3.
Dive,
Dive deep
Dive into the heart of the ocean.
Dive into the soul of
Yourself.
Part 4.
Nature has roots too,
You know.
Part 5.
We are one,
Linked together
By the frilled beauty of
Words, of lyrics, of
Poetry
Carved into our bones.
We could be
An ocean,
Stretching across a thousand maps:
Fashioned from jungles, and
Deserts, and five-star playgrounds,
We could be
A snowstorm
Crackling, swaying, sashaying…
We could be
Anything,
We could be
Everything
If we just opened our buds,
And bloomed.
