The Metamorphosis
The ears are deafened by the sounds
Of the steps of the growing figure
The metamorphosis is so immediate and clear
Scarlet red runs over the face
The mind is convoluted and the feet are implanted
There’s no turning back from this dead end
The stomach churn as the awaited moment is almost here
There is no choice but to face this fate
You’ve chosen it for yourself
This may as well be the end of everything…
You feel that sensation that something is lifting you
You are light with feathers and are about to fly
No, of course not!
You’re not going to heaven
You got an A on that test!
