When I die,
Don't you dare put me in a box.
I want to fly on up to heaven
With my angel wings spread wide.

I don't want a wooden casket
Ornately carved for me,
My name on that marble stone.
Don't you worry, I'm not alone.
Now you just let me be.

Let my presence be with you
after I am due.
When death knocks on the door,
I will be forever more.
Now you just let me be

In a happy place.
It's where I'm meant to be.
I've run my life's long race,
I have lived my life completely.
Now you just let me be.

When I die
Don't you dare put me in a box.
I want to fly on up to heaven
With my angel wings spread wide

Open up those pearly gates,
Release me from these awful weights
and let me go fly free.
Don't you try to hang on to me.
Now you just let me be.

When I reach that great white cloud,
Please, won't you be proud?
My life was long and tough.
Don't you think I've had enough?
Now you just let me be.

My life is over now,
I have said my final vow.
I swear I'll always be
In your heart, just look for me.
Now you just let me be.

This Piece is in memory of my great aunt who recently died of cancer at age 94. She was really important to me, and made a major impression on me. When she passed away it was very hard for the whole family, but I decided to put it in words.
