Candyland
An open box hidden under the bed,
The resting site for memories now fled,
Shiny wrappers crumpled and discarded,
Overlooked in favor of what they guarded.
The lone chocolate bar sitting morosely,
The one survivor among the debris,
An allusion to innocence passed,
Encompassing all and standing fast.
With one glance the joys of a lifetime spanned,
In the remnants of my personal candyland.
