Carved into the silence,
The silence of life,
Came a sound, just one sound,
Life.
It repeated quietly,
Repeated in its way,
Just one sound, that one sound,
Life.
Then it did cease,
Cease oh so suddenly,
That one sound, quiet sound,
Life.
Leaving silence,
The silence of death,
Quiet sound, no more sound,
No more life.
