Photographing Wild Winter Berries
Snowshoeing across the field,
Camera in one hand,
The snow is falling,
The time is right.
A thorny bush in front of me.
All leaves are absent,
Only berries hang from the empty branches,
Vivid red against the snow.
They are so overripe,
Yet sumptuous,
Not for me,
But for the birds.
