A Moonlit Passage
Upon the horizon the sun has set
Casting the forest into a tundra of shadows
She wanted to turn back but it was too late
To run back home and avoid the darkness before her
Off in the distance something moved without warning
She froze with fear thinking of what could
Be looming in the darkness waiting to attack
The screech of a bat behind her she unfroze from her fear
And jumped in shock the bat flew overhead
Towards the newly risen moon she forgot of her fear
And continued down the path in the light of
A full moon smiling down to guide her safely
