Contorted Veracity
These days everyone watches reality.
But I don’t mean watching your life go by
I’m talking about the tube, such a pity.
Minds are going bad. It makes me want to cry
Even though it’s awful I can’t help but watch.
Taking in the delicious poisons,
laughing my head off at every botch,
loving every minute of the tacky puns.
But, perhaps, they’re not so terrible.
So maybe, just maybe, I’m changing my mind.
It’s possible that it may be bearable.
I hope my hypocrisy doesn’t get me fined.
I know that at times reality is real
Though, in a screen it’s all just a spiel
