Slits
I cried because i didn't know what would happen when everyone was gone. I hid because my feelings were always trailing behind. I smiled because i thought it would help me get through. I laughed because it seemed like the only thing left to do. Tears dripped down my face. Blood dripped down my wrists. Cuts on my hands, Knife in my fist. My laugh has grown tired, my smile grown weak. The only thing left on my face is tear streaks. The deed is done, and I don't feel better, but sooner or later I'll have to show the arms under this sweater.
