The Social Network (The Modern Monster) MAG
A generation where conversations are rarely held by word of mouth
 But what do you expect?
Computers block the path from one person to the next
Distance is no match for these machines
Each of us has been infected by the disease
 Friend requests over friendships
Gaining followers is all that matters
 Hey, hi, how are you
 Ignorance is bliss
 “K” is not a word
 “Love you!” but do I?
Meaning hides behind the print on the screen
 No feeling, no expression
 Our intentions are all masked
Post after post, no one can stop reading
Queen of the world, the Internet reigns
 Respect of privacy? Of others?
 Social networking has no mercy
 Thoughts unleashed, consequences forgotten
Under 140 characters is all it takes
Vultures claw at the keyboard, preying on those who are different
 Words are the ultimate wound
X-rays don't show sign of this kind of damage
You might not realize the effects of your next status
Zero characters remaining; maybe you should rephrase that
