I've Been Rewriting Our Story
I’ve been rewriting our story
 In my head
But no matter how I pen the words
I can’t bring us back together again.
 I’ve been thinking of confessing
 The feelings that I felt
But no matter how I say the words
They won’t bring us back together again.
 We were so immature,
 So silly and young
But we made each other laugh
And I was stupid to think
That maybe that could be enough.
Maybe I only imagined the story I thought we shared.
Maybe no part of you was ever truly mine.
But then, I was the giver
 And you were the taker.
So in the end I was left with nothing
And you chose not to see
 Everything you had.
