what pity looks like
He was slumped into his seat,
 Avoiding my prying eyes.
  He turned away, almost afraid.
 He had hair of gold and caramel eyes
  That were full of insecurities and regret.
  Pity wore a black duster
  and under he had a battered and torn grey tee- shirt.
  He looked on sadly eyes clouded over;
 I could tell that he regretted something.
  But it was not my place to ask
  he wanted no one to lay eyes upon him,
 so we all just looked away.
