IF Only
Dumb, mean and ignorant is what you think I am.
Secretly you know the truth, but are too bitter to come to terms.
You see me as the enemy. The person who’s the biggest threat.
You try to break me and put me down.
If only you could see how foolish you look.
Lies and rumors about me rapidly run from your loose lips.
Your chubby face smiles and your psychotic dark eyes sparkle.
When you take pride in manipulating man and being malicious.
The fractured stories and lies leave marks on me.
If only you could see how words hurt.
Boom! Bang! You crash through the door late.
All eyes turn on you with a hint of wonder.
You soak up the attention like a sponge.
Good or bad you’ll take it. As long as multiple sets of eyes are on you.
If only you had confidence to be yourself.
Your neck twists and turns all around. Eyes widening and ears perking up.
Trying to hear other people’s conversations.
Hearing words of weakness and tough troubles.
You dine on it. Like a vulture dines on road kill.
If only you had happiness in your life.
If only, if only, if only
