Kathryn, M. S.
I'm the last one to get a joke,
I'm the first one to loose hope,
I'm always deceived,
And I'm never believed.
I've had people say they love me,
In the end they're just a memory,
Who cares about the girl in the corner?
She knows the true nature of emotional horror.
I am just a girl,
I'm different,
Adults either love me or hate me,
Kids my own age resent me.
They tell me they're there,
But then it turns out they don't really care,
Then you sit in bed,
And think...it messes with your head.
I know anxiety and depression,
Now they are my common companions,
I'm tired of games and tricks,
I really just can't deal with antics.
I have hope that someday,
I'll go to Paris and have a fun day,
Maybe I'll find a friend,
And loneliness will be just a timely trend.
