Life is a stage, get on it and perform your best act.

No matter how hard I try, no matter how hard I think, I can't make a thought come to thee.

It doesn't matter if I'm laying on my back or my side, without a thought, my mind continues to ride.

I have no one to talk to, no one to confide in; will my mind finally win? But hold on, wait, both of us are at a loss because neither one of us has a thought to trade.

The author's comments:
I was influenced to write this poem when I was in language arts class. Our assignment was to write two poems and fully describe them. I only had one problem... I couldn't think of anything to write. Then something suddenly popped up in my mind, I always told myself that if I needed to write a poem but I couldn't think of anything, write about not being able to think of something. I know it sounds crazy but it's the truth. By using this personal strategy of mine, I'll always have something to offer.
