Donovan
I led you
Along
For I had no one
And you were
simply there.
Your mind could not
embrace mine,
and so
I turned away.
But I was scared
of being so
alone.
I was your Eve,
yanking the fruit
away from your
yearning eyes.
I saw that you would
spoil the fruit,
and so I wanted to run.
Yet I still tempted you
with my strawberry
and you wanted it
so
much
more.
I should have never
let you see it;
should not have
led you
along.
