Leaving You
Abc’s of Leaving you
At last I’m free. No longer tied down
But still able to feel the
Chill of you stare.
Dare I say that I miss you
Everything is going to be okay.
For I know that you are sorry, you’re
Going to change. You will never
Hit me in anger, or lie to me.
I love you, you say. But in the end it’s
Just lies I make myself believe. It
Killed me inside. To put up with you.
Lying to myself and family.
Making sure no one knew
Nothing was wrong.
One little mistake, and you were toxic
Poison. You’re words killed me and
Quickly I lost my love for you.
Restless nights
Spent crying waiting for
Tomorrow to begin.
Unseen truths finally
Visible, your love
Was a sham. a ball of
Xanthamide dropped to the flour
Yelling herd through the night the
Zest of our love lost forever
