that old man sitting at the beach
sitting all alone on a bench
the sand at his feet
he looks at the sea with a blank glare
he lost his wife with a cancer scare.
together for 60 years
now all alone in his 90 years
trying to hold back the tears
he prays to the lord for peace
for he is ready to see his wife
he ask the lord for a death
he has lived his life
his broken heart begins to crack
that old man took his last breathe

they look at the sea with a loving glare
for they are in heaven together forever
