Innocence
I was so very naïve
and never worried about things
except for who was “it” in tag
and who went higher on the swings
I believed in everything
I had no reason to think it was a lie
My heart had never been broken
I'd never dealt with “good bye”
My friends were always loyal
and scars came from playing rough
I wore my heart on my sleeve
and I never had to act tough
Everyday was my wanderlust
I really do miss those years
when noone judged you by your looks
and I never had any fears
