Her Eyes
Her eyes meet mine
A tears falls down her face
I inch one foot forward
Closing the space
Her eyes plead sadly,
Filled with hurt and despair
Though it's tearing me apart
I can't break the stare
Her eyes are glistening
with what might have been
she asks me why
and I can't even begin
Her eyes tell so much
Her whole heart on display
I'm enveloped in her emotions
Fear, Pain, and Dismay.
Her eyes still haunt me
Reminding me of what I created
And showing that I inflicted
What I've always claimed to have hated.
