Dr. Seuss died back in ’91,
But we still remember today,
His writing, because it’s tremendously fun
And full of brand-new words to say.

New words like “schlopp” and like “Lorax”,
New felines, (The Cat in the Hat),
New places, including the Prairie of Prax,
Now how did he come up with that?

New people like old Mr. Brown,
Who really knew how to moo
He also made thunder and lightning sounds
And Seuss wants to know: “Can you?”

In a charming book called Go Dog Go,
The dog asks, “Do you like my hat?”
When the canine reply is a definite “no”
It’s “Goodbye”, she’s gone, just like that.

Wockets in pockets are spotted,
And so are a number of creatures
In the book that such things were allotted,
Illustrating their many strange features.

Yes, Seuss has penned many things,
And in this he has done a great deed,
New readers fly on more confident wings
Since his books have planted the seed.

And now I’m afraid I must go,
So I’ll end this quite nice, with a wink,
To my friend Dr. Seuss, who gave this good advice:
“Think and wonder, wonder and think.”

I have been fed on Dr. Seuss ever since I could sit still. Try reading my poem aloud, it's fun!

That's amazing. I love it. I read it aloud over and over and over etc. and it's just fun! I LOVE it. This should be published as a book review... awesome job.

As a Dr. Suess fan, I have to say: I really did enjoy this. It brought back many memories of when I was little and spent all my time reading Dr. Suess' books. It also really made me want to go and read some of his books again. Well-done, once again. And once again, nothing really stuck out so nice job!

Do you think you could rate this, or right a quick little comment? I understand that it is hard to comment on silly poetry. :)
