Lady Eve
The Lady Eve knows better
Maybe, maybe
Wisdom will come with age
But I’m not a fool
Perhaps Socrates was right
But then again, who knows?
Jesus wasn’t, not in some things
To be human is to flaw
To flaw is to grow
Trying to fight the unstoppable current
Are we?
Why bother?
She knows, she knows you better
Your heart is bare
The weakness is there, red and glistening
The Lady Eve can see you better
Than you can
Scary?
Try and see her
And I’m not your fool, so
Don’t talk down to me
She feels, feels better
Than your human nerves
Divine ones such a burden
Are you proud to be a man?
The Lady Eve is proud of you
