Inside Myself

I'm all alone
inside of myself
In a space so small
trying to find myself
struggling in between
The Real me and The Mask
I wear to protect myself from the Outside
I know if I take my mask off
I'll be battered and beaten
betrayed and broken
So I stay inside myself
waiting for the day when the world can accept me
The Real Me
not the mask that they
know now
