Cold Case
The case remains unknown
 By itself, all alone
 Just another cold case file
It'll be mixed into the pile

 The poor boy
 Once he was alive
 He lived to be five
 And all the while thrived
But he didn't have what it took to survive
 His life was deprived

He will never have his own house
Or share his life with a spouse

His case is like every other cold case
It starts with a person living life
And a killer with a knife
 Now a person is dead
 And the killer has fled
 Never to be answered
This crime came and took an innocent life like a sleeping cancer
The boy is just another nameless cold case
Mixed into the pile to one day be misplaced
