One Wish
I wished upon a shooting star
And this is what I said,
I wish you were near, not far,
I wish you were with me instead.

I wished upon a shooting star
And another thing that I said,
Was that I wish I didn’t always see your guitar,
And get your songs stuck in my head.

I wished upon a shooting star
And there was another thing I said,
I wish you could call me more, wherever you are
Though your voice may cause my tears to shed.

I wished upon a shooting star,
But I really only had one wish,
I wished that I could hear the door slam of a car,
And that you be home to greet me with a kiss.
