his religion is sensation, his employer's is sums
he's grinding his teeth straight down to the gums
this wasn't in that plan of theirs, the spider and the knife
he wasn't ever meant to watch his master take his life
two men have died as people do, with secrets they'll always keep
no one looks up to the window to watch a gunman weep
what purpose does he have now, out of his spider's web?
a touch on the shoulder
he turns around
a dead man whispers,
"seb."
