Biography of a NYC Teen

Growing up in NYC isn't that easy
It not always cold and it not always breezy
With the temptation of crack, weed, and alcohol on one corner
And the promise of a future and career on the other
I struggle to find the path in which I should follow.
Should I follow the cool crowd and be with all my friends
Or should I stay in school and be labeled with the losers
No one knows my struggle cause they haven’t lived my life
The life of a girl being pressured
A devil on one shoulder
A angel on the other
