Forevermore
flower forever, forevermore
blooming phlox and bleeding tree
but at thy sight my heart is tore
this stone you ever shall see
not i; My Name, forevermore
beneath the bleeding tree
“all there” They say
and still He jeers
so now, why must I pay?
and though He leers
He took me to play
beneath the bleeding tree
grow forever, forevermore
for me, mahogany chopped
the coffin is away in store
death shall never be topped
that fact has rocked me to the core
beneath the bleeding tree
birds shall fly, flowers grow
trees as tall as time
as the wind begins to flow
silent as a mime
Scarlet Ibis cannot go
beneath the bleeding tree
They mourn for me, forevermore
under a cold gray block
William Armstrong, on the fore
sealed with cursed rock
and Oh! – how loud He does roar
beneath the bleeding tree
for i had walked upon the ground
and ran among the flowers
never knowing soon this mound
would have me in its power
that is where i can be found
beneath the bleeding tree
flower forever, forevermore
blooming phlox and bleeding tree
but at thy sight my heart is tore
this stone you ever shall see
not i; My Name, forevermore
beneath the bleeding tree
