Where I’m From

I am from everything Cajun and hot, humid weather,
From the swamps and the vast lakes,
From the southern lifestyle and Mardi Gras,
I am from Louisiana, or the “Dirty South”.

I am from big and extremely hot, dry weather,
From the dry lands to all of the cactuses,
From the independent lifestyle and numerous historic places,
I am from Texas, or “The Lone Star State”.

I am now a combination of what I came from,
A southern lifestyle, combined with independence,
A roaming mind, with a background of different cultures,
I am Seth, using what I came from everyday.
