The somber gray clouds block the sun
They shield me from warmth and light
Clasping together like lost lovers' hands
Inching closer as the wind shifts
The wind like my distractions
The clouds like my frustrations
Blocking me from a clear mind
Making a labyrinth of thoughts
Feelings that swallow me whole
The breeze chills my rose colored lips
The frigid air bites at my fingers
Makes me incapable for smooth writing
The breeze like the harsh words from their mouths
The air like the sudden helplessness that you feel
Not only in your fingers but in your heart
