Reality is wrong , dreams are for real . ~ Tupac Shakur

I drew a birdie on my wrist

to see if it would fly

then today when I was alone I slowly started to cry

so that birdie that was on my wrist

that birdie had to die

im sorry little birdie

sorry I can not tell you why

why I slit your wings and never said goodbye

forgive me little birdie

im sorry you never got to fly

that just like everyone else, on me you can not rely

One day I was thinking about how cutting can kill you're and those around you's dreams. I hope you understand my metaphor .

It is better to write for yourself and have no audience than write for your audience and have no self.

this is fantastic. the metaphor is brilliant and its kind of eerie the way its sing-songy and kind of like a lullaby

Whoa. I love this, even though it's pretty sad. It kinda reminds me of The Butterfly Project, except the person in your poem still cut off the bird's wings, anyway. Great job, though. :D
