Money Lust
Once I dreamed of Fortune's kiss,
Upon my groveling hand,
Thinking that money granted bliss,
What it was I did not understand.
Happiness shown in glory yet in fame,
Each smile struck a thought,
That with wealth I'd never be the same.
But seed's desire never bloom'd from plot,
And then I began yet to see,
Though riches made others grin,
It wouldn't ever for me.
I already had what was to win,
The Sun his gold my day,
Was equal to the Moon her silver.
I cherish every heavenly ray.
And none him could kill her.
From emptiness rises joy,
Knowing what lies in heart.
We are Fate's little toy,
But with nothing we finish the part.
