Ode to my Poetry Assignment: An Ars Poetica
The blank word document
 stares back at me,
 the white screen glares,
 and my mind goes empty.
What is there to fear in a poem?
 It can’t bite …
 It haunts my brain as

 I wander through

 The internet.

 Turn on the mp3 player.

 Music echoes

 through my ears.

 A sliver of nothing.

 Where art thou,

 Inspiration?

 Class ends in 10 minutes,
 time to panic.
 Everything spills out,
 The page fills up
 To describe
 the symptoms

 of

    Writers block.
