Innocence
Tossed, thrown around
until no longer there.
The innocence of a child disappears
and fear appears in it's place.
All that you use to know is gone along with everything they've told you to protect..
That one thing that is yours to keep and to give but taken in a matter of minutes.
By someone, your parents trusted so much.
The secret you must keep, or it'll shatter their souls as well as break the family you've tried to keep.
Everything you have tried so hard to hide.
Cannot be revealed, because the truth will hurt all those you love.
Blame the one person that took it all away.
But to blame one self, but be told that a child is not to blame.
So innocent.
Everything taken, not just once but multiple times, but until he sees that you are breaking.
Pieces on the floor, no longer staying a child but growing into a girl.
The bruises still inside.
I must hide this secret, to save their hearts.
To keep that one thing they still think I have....
Only to know it was taken....
