One Deep Breath
Quick breath,
Eyes closed,
Body throbs,
Short Exhale,
And then nothing.
I try again this time with a deep breath.
There goes my mind again like a sprinter at the sound of the gun.
My mind races all over the place and
Goes faster and faster with no end in sight.
I’m stuck in an endless cycle of panic like the runner around the track.
Eyes Closed.
My body feels like the sprinters blurry vision.
He can’t tell when the race will end, but I can’t tell when the panic will either.
Body Throbs.
My heart beats like the quick steps of his feet going right, left, then right again.
Exhale.
I’m breathing like the sprinter that just crossed the line.
Sigh.
Finally a little relief
