I Think of You
When the Earth turns to a new day,
When the night awakens to a fresh ray,
When dawn is broken leaving pieces askew,
I think of you.
When shards of nature are thrown here and there,
By a beautiful storm from who knows where,
I am watching and know you are too,
And all the while, I think of you.
When water meets land,
Clashing against endless streaks of sand,
When I watch these waves change their hue,
I think of you.
When a rose blossoms to life,
Like peace resulting from strife,
It gives me a certain feeling; something new,
And I think of you.
When I get lost in the world of fierce and kind,
The seas, the trees, the endless roads of my mind,
When I explore the layers,
The many, the few,
I think of you.
When those melodies, those songs, they fill the air,
Fill my ears, my head, my hair,
Notions of love, peace, tears and tensions fly through,
And still I sit,
And think of you.
And when I feel it, that very moment,
That time, that instance, that desperate longing,
When my heart swells up, when my lungs work overtime,
When my breath is heard, when my pulse starts sprinting,
When my eyes light up, when I could not be happier,
There is no doubt –
I think of you.
