"Whose Body Is This?"
“Whose Body is This?”
He awoke with a start
Breathing quite slow
His mind a blur
His vision of only a glow
He looked around
His vision now clear
Then he saw someone and said
"When did he appear?"
Then one by one they came
There one second now gone
His mind wondering
"What’s going on?"
Just one body was always there
Neither moving nor stirring
Then he saw all of them
All the figures gathering
"A funeral" he said
Realizing the scene
"Is this a trick?
A kind of sick scheme?"
The people looked familiar
The dead body too
"Who is this?" he screamed
"Who?!?"
"No" he gasped
As he recognized his family and friends
"Mom? Dad?"
"When will all this madness end?"
"Why won’t you talk?" He screamed
"Tell me what’s going on!'
"Guys it’s me
Your best friend John!"
Again he screamed
"Whose body is this?"
But then he realized
The body was his.
