Peace, please

In my eye wells a tear,
When I think of life lost;
Life so dear.
We're all united by one fact:
Brought to earth to live,
Yet still we attack.
Though life is short still we fight,
Pushed by greed,
Pushed by spite.
Day by day thousands preach,
But it's our actions which count,
Not our speech.
