The blue sky darkens to gray,
A cool, yet threatening wind rises.
The branches of trees begin to sway,
The clouds all around bring deadly surprises.
Faraway lightning flashes,
Briefly illuminating the dark landscape.
Thunder rumbles and crashes,
I stand in the midst refusing escape.
