Standing up in front of the crowd…
It’s terrifying to think about.
Everyone expects to be ‘wowed’
But I am the one living in doubt.
I could easily mess up,
And make a fool of myself up there.
It’s as if my mother is gone and I’m just a frightened pup.
I didn’t ask for this dare,
But I’ll learn to endure
I just hope they all concur.
I’ll give them a theatrical show,
Minus the theatrics.
I’ll tell them all that I know.
I will stand up there strong as I watch the clock tick.
