Table for Two
"Table for two" was what I said,
But when you didn't show, I was filled with dread.
I kept checking the time, hoping you'd come.
Sitting at a table by myself made me look dumb.
I waited and waited, but you still didn't show,
I wondered where you were at? And should I just go?
Finally, I decided to get up and leave.
Thinking you'd actually come was so naive.
