We could build a bridge
with wood and nails
and swim to the other side
when our handymanness fails

We could climb the highest tree
drawing and picturing
the things we can see
almost slipping then
having your hand catch me

We could sail the oceans range
facing the storms,
the sea, and the strange
and when water starts to flood
we'd just sit and pray together
to the heavens above

We could climb the largest mountain
and if our gear starts breaking
we'd sit on a rock and stare out
at the earth so breathtaking
then we'd open our eyes
and start to laugh
for what we did to get time to pass

We could soar across the skies
listening to the birds below us
with the clouds in our eyes

We could plant a tree
and watch it grow
and time after time always know
the great times we had together
the times we wish
will last forever
