You see him over there,
Looking tall and dark and handsome.
You never thought he'd steal you,
Make your parents pay your ransom.
A friend creeps up behind you,
Tells you nothing you don't know.
You say you'll be right back.
They are annoyed and let you go.
It's becoming oh so clear,
Now that you're sitting here alone.
He beat you and you're numb,
But that's your father on the phone.
You think back to that night,
The one so dark and filled with fright.
How long have you been here?
He's coming back with his beer.
Don't resist it.
He slits it.
It's over.
You're over.
Now in this final moment
Just pretend that it's alright.
That your rapist is your lover
And he didn't kill your mother
And your father never knew him
And the ending isn't so grim.
Your life is finally fading
Like the sunlight from the sky.
You think you'd have avoided this
If you never had said "Hi."
