Soft Hearted Summer
Her name tells of how it was with her
 She has a soft heart like a doe who always looks out for her young
 Her heart is like moss;
 It is delicate and easily looked by,
 But it mends itself and moves on
 She is the summer
 When it is her time to thrive she sees that spring is properly stored away
 Before she faces the warm rain and the spray of the ocean that she loves
 Strong in the face of thunder and calm in the face of lighting,
 She takes on any challenges given to her
 She is a deep green and a sea blue
 She is all the colors of the world mixed together to form a rainbow
 Which hangs in the sky after a summer's storm
 When the frost begins to settle, she holds on until the last second
 Only returning when the rain and the deep green of the prairie grass
 Calls her back again
